After many years of going to school and saying no to drugs I graduated with a degree!  Little did I know it would lead me to being beaten into the ground at the hands of a soulless corporation.  After 3 years I quit to play poker professionally.  I've now been full-time over 7 years, yet revenge is still in the air.  It's crazy to look back and realize I started this blog as I was simply 'pumping myself up' to quit the real world and go full time.  Now I also do some writing for fun as a 'day job' (some freelance and paid, but an insignificant sum compared to 5/10 live) and airbnb my place when I don't feel like playing as much.

27 Days Straight

As of last night I have played poker 27 days straight (at least 6 hours each day).

Tonight I am FORCING MYSELF to take a break and going out etc etc.

I got hammered online this week for -$600 in about 24 hours.  My EV was also -$600 and I ran terribly so sounds about right.  In the upcoming weeks I want to commit at least 4-5 hours a week to studying top player's hands.  Study is a focus that has really slipped from my shcedule during the last few weeks.  If online doesn't pick up after a month I'll do whatever it takes to keep improving.  Maybe I'm missing something?  However, right now I feel like I'm still improving on my own.

Anyways back to the live tables this weekend before Thanksgiving break.

Sounds like a break (and a little fun) is exactly what you need. Hopw was your day off? And has it improved your fortunes?

Day off was great, this month with poker was not however. Looking forward to the holiday and coming back strong!
